Trying Something New

This winter has been a good snow year. I've got three feet of snow in the front yard and six feet in the back. All of my small streams are deeply covered. I could fish the Henry's Fork and the main Snake below some dams, but I'm just not into it this winter. Let's see... right now it's 15 degrees F outside. I think I'll just tie a few flies.




This year I'll try some different kind of kebari. I've never tied or fished kebari with a loop attachment instead of a hook eye. Here is what I have tied recently:






I'll see how they cast, drift and fish. Maybe I'll even try some fly manipulation as well. I'm not really into that sort of thing, but what the heck, it's worth a try. Isn't it?
