Very similar to the streams I fish. I admire your ability to fish that rod on such a overgrown stream. What size flies are you using?
I almost always use #10 hooks for my flies. I'm a big believer that size helps the fish see and grab the fly in such turbulent water.
Tom, I went and tied up a couple of flies using #10 hooks and my catch rate improved. I use Firehole Sticks 320 scud/pupa hook.
