October 9, 2023 - Wilderness Area Cutthroats

This was a beautiful day in October. I hiked into the wilderness area with my wife and while she rested in the shade of the trees, I fished for a few minutes. I brought along a TalonMini and a 10' #3 level line. I only had a few kebari with me, as well. The DRAGONtail TalonMini worked fine, but I could have easily fished a 360 cm rod and slightly longer line. 

I hooked into a couple larger fish, but they quickly got off. I need to return and fish more of this upper-middle section. It holds real promise!
