September 13, 2023 - Using a PVC Line

This stream was new to me. I've read about it and wanted to fish it for many years, but like most things, I never got around to it. But on this day, I was in the area fishing a different creek and I thought I'd pop over and finally check it out. 

I didn't go very far upstream, but rather, I picked a post spot that was convenient and parked and fished. I started with a tapered PVC line because there was a stiff breeze, but changed back to a level line once the breeze calmed down. 

I caught small cutthroats. A couple fish near the end of the video were getting to reasonable size, but it was the end of the day and I decided to head home.
