Ever had one of those days? One that although you can stick the fish you just can seem to bring them to hand? I know, it's not the end of the world -- after all it's probably better for the fish. But there's just something about netting or bringing them to hand that is sooooo satisfying.
Well, the other day I was fishing one of my favorite streams. It's narrow and fast in many spots, but it can hold some surprisingly large trout. When you hook one of the those you had better be on top of your game, because if you're not, you won't stand a chance of landing it. There's often no room to fight the trout or the current is so strong that it gets swept downstream immediately.
Like I said, the other day I had one of those days. I could stick fish everywhere, but for the life of me I could not land them. It just wasn't my day for bringing them to hand.
I doubt this ever happens to you, but to show you what the rest of us have to experience I'm going to be transparent and let you see a video of me failing over and over. Have a good laugh.
The day wasn't all frustration though, in the next video I'll show you the fish I did bring to hand.
Cheers, and have pity on us poor untalented anglers.
