Well, I think it just might be the end of the world...

... as we know it, because I just signed up for a Facebook account. Yes, me. I have said for years that I would not join Facebook, but it seems that I just did.

To be honest, I did have an joint FB account with my wife for a while, but I rarely looked at it and even more rarely posted. But I decided that I wanted to be able to contribute to a few FB groups and so I needed my own account. Thus, I signed up.

I don't fully get how FB works but I do know that "Friends" are involved. I'm not sure I'm going to go the friend route, rather, I think I'll just contribute to FB groups, like the Appalachian Tenkara Anglers, a group I've followed for a while.

So don't be offended if you send me a friend request and I don't do anything with it. It's not personal. Just roll your eyes, call me an old codger and humor me.  See you on the dark side.

  1. Now that is a worry!!!
I signed up once, then all these 'long lost relatives' wanted me to be their 'friend'. I deleted my account very quickly!!!

  2. I'm on there too but I have everything turned off concerning the requests and all my photos are for me only unless I intentionally post something in the tenkara groups and tenkara trading post.

  5. I tried to friend your account before. It was pretty obvious that you didn't use it. Will you post link your profile so we can all friend/follow you?

You should look into joining some of the tenkara groups. Tenkara Anglers, American Tenkara Anglers, Tenkara Where?, Tenkara Kabari Library. Here are the links.

I actually came to your site because I was looking for a blog post of yours to answer a guys question from the Tenkara Anglers group. I hope you have a good experience on Facebook. You kind of already had a presence there since many of us post things from your blog there. :)
